Amritsar is the spiritual heart of Sikhism and one of the most visited cities in northern India, built around the Golden Temple and its constant flow of pilgrims and visitors. Alongside the temple, the city draws people for the moving Jallianwala Bagh memorial, the theatrical Wagah border ceremony and some of the best Punjabi food in the country.
