Entitled room rate

Each pay level carries its own entitled base rate per night, GST exclusive, as promulgated by the Govt of India. Where a stay sits above that rate the difference is shown as a top-up before you pay.

Food charges

A daily food entitlement applies alongside the room rate and is GST inclusive. It covers breakfast and one major meal, and is invoiced as a separate line item so it can be claimed separately.

Occupancy

Pay levels 12 and above are entitled on single occupancy. At pay levels 9 to 11 a 5-star stay is entitled on double occupancy, while 4-star and 3-star stays are single occupancy.

Amritsar is the spiritual heart of Sikhism and one of the most visited cities in northern India, built around the Golden Temple and its constant flow of pilgrims and visitors. Alongside the temple, the city draws people for the moving Jallianwala Bagh memorial, the theatrical Wagah border ceremony and some of the best Punjabi food in the country.

Amritsar has pilgrim accommodation and budget hotels near the Golden Temple, business and mid-range stays in newer districts, and premium options around Ranjit Avenue and the airport corridor. The airport is near Rajasansi, outside the central heritage zone.
