Entitled room rate

Each pay level carries its own entitled base rate per night, GST exclusive, as promulgated by the Govt of India. Where a stay sits above that rate the difference is shown as a top-up before you pay.

Food charges

A daily food entitlement applies alongside the room rate and is GST inclusive. It covers breakfast and one major meal, and is invoiced as a separate line item so it can be claimed separately.

Occupancy

Pay levels 12 and above are entitled on single occupancy. At pay levels 9 to 11 a 5-star stay is entitled on double occupancy, while 4-star and 3-star stays are single occupancy.

Jodhpur, the Blue City, is the gateway to the Thar Desert and the old capital of Marwar, dominated by the mighty Mehrangarh Fort rising above a sea of indigo-washed houses. It draws heritage tourists, a large wedding and film trade, and travellers heading on into the desert, and its old city is one of the most atmospheric in Rajasthan.

Jodhpur has budget guesthouses in the Old City, mid-range hotels in established residential and business districts, and heritage properties around the fort and palace corridors. The airport lies south of the central districts, while rail and road access shape many short stays.

The city covers every budget. Budget and boutique guesthouses fill the Old City lanes, mid-range hotels spread through Ratanada and Sardarpura, and grand heritage and palace hotels sit around the fort and towards Umaid Bhawan. The airport is close, around 5 km south of the centre, which keeps transfers short.
