Who can book
MoU hotels are open to defence personnel. Eligibility is read from the verified service record on your udChalo account rather than from anything entered at booking time; what differs by rank is the entitlement, not the access.
Entitled room rate
Each pay level carries its own entitled base rate per night, GST exclusive, as promulgated by the Govt of India. Where a stay sits above that rate the difference is shown as a top-up before you pay.
Food charges
A daily food entitlement applies alongside the room rate and is GST inclusive. It covers breakfast and one major meal, and is invoiced as a separate line item so it can be claimed separately.
Occupancy
Pay levels 12 and above are entitled on single occupancy. At pay levels 9 to 11 a 5-star stay is entitled on double occupancy, while 4-star and 3-star stays are single occupancy.
GST and invoicing
The hotel GSTIN appears on the invoice, with room and food as separate line items and the GST rate and amount stated separately, which is what a reimbursement claim needs.

Cancellation terms are set per property and per rate, exactly as on a public booking. The applicable terms are shown against the rate before you pay.
About staying in Goa
Goa is India's favourite beach destination, a former Portuguese colony whose long coastline, relaxed pace and Indo-Portuguese heritage draw everyone from backpackers to luxury travellers. The single biggest decision is North versus South: the busy, sociable north around Calangute, Baga and Anjuna, or the quieter, more upscale south around Colva, Benaulim and Palolem.
North Goa is where the energy is, with the beach shacks, markets, nightlife and the bulk of the budget and mid-range stays, from Calangute and Candolim down to the hostels of Anjuna and Arambol. South Goa is calmer and greener, home to most of the five-star beach resorts and long, empty stretches of sand. Panjim, the capital, offers a heritage city stay in the Latin Quarter of Fontainhas, away from the beaches.
Goa now has two airports: Dabolim in the centre-south and the newer Manohar International at Mopa in the north, which has reshaped access to the northern beaches. Timing is everything in Goa. November to February is the dry, pleasant peak, with December and New Year the busiest and priciest. How do MoU rates differ from fauji rates?
Fauji rates are a defence discount applied on top of public inventory and are shown on the regular Goa hotel pages. An MoU stay is booked against your TD entitlement at a property tied up under the MoU, and carries the tied-up inclusions such as breakfast, a major meal and laundry.
Can I see MoU rates for Goa before signing in?
No. The negotiated rate is resolved against your verified rank, so it is shown only after sign-in. The prices against the hotels on this page are the public rates, the same ones the regular Goa hotel pages show.
Do MoU bookings come with a reimbursement claim pack?
Yes. A completed MoU booking produces a GST invoice and a pre-filled claim annexure covering entitled versus actual per night, alongside the standard booking voucher. All three stay under My bookings.
